Chef Caitlin has been working as a personal chef since 2010. She started her business in the Chicago land area and moved to Colorado in 2017 to pursue new and exciting ventures and to expand her personal chef business.
Passionate about cooking from a young age, Chef Caitlin began attending cooking classes at Elgin Community College when she was just 14 years old. In 2008, she enrolled in Culinary School, after attending for one year, she made the tough decision to drop out as her values and ethics regarding animal rights evolved. Determined to continue her culinary journey, she sought out mentorship from Chef Cleetus Friedman of Chicago, who took her under his wing. Together they worked large catering events and farm dinners across the city, including work at his sustainable deli, City Provisions in Ravenswood. During this time, Chef Caitlin became fascinated with organic farming and understanding the origins of her food, leading her to an internship at The Stanford Inn By the Sea in Mendocino, CA, where she honed her cooking skills and learned about biointensive farming. After working in various kitchens throughout the Chicago land area, she officially launched her personal chef business in 2010 and later became certified in plant-based nutrition through Dr. T. Colin Campbell’s program with eCornell. In 2014, she was offered a position at the renowned, high-end vegetable restaurant in Philadelphia, Vedge, where she further developed her expertise before returning home to grow her personal chef business.
